What is CBG?
Cannabigerol (CBG) hemp strains only became available within the past few years. CBG is often referred to as the “mother” cannabinoid or the “stem cell” cannabinoid because it is the first cannabinoid to develop in the young hemp plant. As the plant matures its genetics cause the CBG to convert into other cannabinoids including both CBD & THC. In high CBG plants however, the gene that causes CBG to synthesize into other cannabinoids was bred out, allowing the plant to retain all of its CBG through the harvest.
CBG has an entirely different molecular structure compared to CBD. As a result, they work differently from one another within the body. For example CBG acts directly on the human endocannabinoid system by binding to both CB1 and CB2 receptors. CBD on the other hand doesn’t bind directly to either of these receptors and instead interacts with the endocannabinoid system indirectly by influencing other endocannabinoids etc.
Our CBG FOCUS tincture promotes calmness and ability to stay focused with improved resilience to obstacles. Many people experience improved energy levels and some also report mental clarity.
